Three different women, three different choices in lifestyles, one murderer ... the men of Grandville aren't safe from one of these women.

Kaira Rouda takes the readers for a suspenseful thrill ride with her second novel, All The Difference. The story is about three very different types of women: the mother figure, the power figure and the hooker. The author weaves a story that reads like a modern day Peyton Place. The intriguing storyline is filled with enough suspense that keeps the reader captivated and guessing what will happen next, and who the killer is right up to the very end. With intertwining subplots of deception, adultery, betrayal, jealousy, scandal, heartache and murder; it is a fascinating look at how devious a person can really be. The chapters alternate between the present time with flashbacks of a haunting childhood of one of the women, but the reader is kept guessing which woman had such a horrifying childhood until the end of the story. There were so many characters in this story that I had to write them down to keep them straight, but the author does a brilliant job of intertwining all of their lives, and all of the pieces of the puzzle come together in a very thrilling, suspenseful and surprising ending.

All The Difference is an entertaining suspense thriller that keeps the reader holding their breath from beginning to end. This second novel is a departure from the author's first novel, Here, Home, Hope, but she has provided her fans with an exciting new twist to her writing style. For fans of women's fiction and chick lit genres, this isn't your classic romance novel, it is a romantic suspense thriller that you should definitely put on your reading list!

I first became interested in All The Difference because of the cover. I really love it! I love the colours it uses and I like the relaxed and fresh vibe it gives off. I knew instantly that I had to take a closer look at this book. The description sounded intriguing and mysterious and I was excited to dive into this one. I'm quite glad I decided to give it a go as I really did like it. It was extremely interesting and captivating!

All The Difference is a bit different to what I've been reading lately, which has mostly been young adult paranormal books so it was refreshing and a very nice change. At first, I honestly found this book a bit confusing. The changing perspectives are something that are real hit-or-miss with me so I was worried this was going to be too confusing or irritating. However I actually didn't mind it after the beginning of the book and it didn't bother me any more after that! The writing is really very good and easy to get lost in.

This book is full of interesting and complex characters with a deep and unique plot. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters and while I did find it hard to keep them straight in my head at first, I quickly overcame that difficulty and started being able to form opinions on them all! They all have their issues to deal with and some are having a worse time than others. I found it interesting seeing how their choices changed their lives and the lives of those around them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and other than the first few chapters, it was an easy and fast read. I would definitely be interested in reading more from this author and I'm glad I got the opportunity to check All The Difference out!

I'd like to give this book 3.5 stars.... I liked how there was this mysterious back story going on that kept you guessing about who they were talking about and where it was going. One thing that was a little hard for me was keeping track of all the characters that were introduced at the beginning but about 1/3 of the way through, I was finally able to keep them straight. lol

The book has love, hate, betrayal, sex and intrigue. You think you're getting chick-lit and end up with a murder mystery. There was one sentence in the book that helped me with the mystery so I had it figured out but if you don't catch that, this book is going to leave you guessing until the very end... so many possible motives.

Thanks for a good book Kaira! ( )
