None. A decent, though not that good, follow up to Witches of East End. I wish the women in this book were stronger, because I think this book could've been so much better. Sadly, I felt like something was missing (women with backbones who don't always depend on men, maybe?). Disappointing. I might read the next book, but I'm not going to be waiting for it. ( )I love this series and can't wait for the next book to come out already. Carry's on wonderfully from Witches of East End with Freya discovering the right brother and falling in love again. Her love is questioned when Freya's twin brother, Freddie reappears. Freddie falls for a girl and in order to get in the good books with her father, helps find a historical artifact. Ingrid and her boyfriend Matt are having their own problems with some magical creatures reeking havoc within the town. Mother, Joanna, is having trouble of her own with a widower in town and the girls father is also trying for her affections. Everything is happening to them all at once and the mystery still reins supreme about Freddie and who framed him so he would be banished. In the end all the pieces of the puzzle get put together and they are all happy to have Freddie home again. Can't wait for book 3, Winds of Salem that is due out June 2013. promotional copy sent to me. This series uses mostly using Norse mythology to create it characters and stories. It is just magical. I love how different the characters are from each other. Freya character is sexy and holds secrets. Her sister Ingrid is proper and helpful and their mother Joanna is the definition of mother. They have lived centuries and died many times only yet to return to this world. Only thing I feel unsure about was the characters of the pixies. They were annoying and sometimes confusing. That is probably the only thing I did not like. This is one of my favorite series. I have not read the series it is a spin off from, Blue Bloods, but I think I would enjoy the writing of that series as well. no reviews | add a review
