Cathleen McCandless certainly makes sense of many feng shui myths that have arisen over the years to confuse both readers and practitioners of feng shui. Her approach is confident and unique. Feng Shui that Makes Sense is loaded with useful information and practical examples of how to apply Form School methods to both the exterior and interior arrangements of a home. She also introduces the reader to the fundamentals of the Compass School approach. Her application of the bagua begins with a compass reading. The career sector, which is always located over the front entrance in Western feng shui, finds its home in the actual north sector of a home or place of business. McCandless discusses the significance of the numerology of a home’s address. Her Life Assessment Inventory is a great tool to identify a client’s goals for his or her home. An excellent book for the layperson wishing to understand and apply Form School and basic Compass School principles. McCandless' emphasis is on creating spaces that feel as good as they look.
