Fun. Standard tropes - movie star and introvert, doctor and patient, commitment-shy man - nicely implemented in well-drawn characters. Not a deeply memorable story, and I doubt I'll reread (unless I find some of the other books in the series), but definitely enjoyable. Pretty much entirely from Jacob's POV - a few quick glimpses into Ariel's head, not her motivations but immediate thoughts. Excellent characterization - even the minor characters were well-drawn and reasonably fleshed out (what was Harriet's thing? Honestly, I was expecting her to turn into a rabid stalker or something...). I'll be looking out for more by this author. ( )
