Isobel Kuhn, with China Inland Mission, writes of her and her husbands time among the Lisu people in the great mountains of West China from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. I was greatly honored to read of these people and the love of these missionaries; the culture, the living conditions, the living on the side of the mountain, the Lisu people and how they took what they learned and became missionaries themselves. And also how much prayers are needed for the work to continue and more importantly how many more workers are needed to take the gospel to those who haven't heard. To God be the glory for the things He has done in and through these people. A book that will long stay with me. ( )

First published in 1947, this book has become a classic of the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives characterised by fear, sin and darkness into beauty, joy and the hope of resurrection - amongst the Lisu people of southwest China.
