Notre essayiste spectaculaire ne fait pas mine d’ignorer ces prédécesseurs en la matière. Ne serait-ce que le titre presque homonyme de Guy Debord, qui, en 1971, dénonçait « l’hégémonie du spectacle », « la négation et la consommation dans la culture et le fétichisme des marchandises », sans penser que l’on restait libre de les choisir ou non.
