This was very different than the previous four, after a while I felt like Artemis was a secondary character and his cleverness wasn't the focus of the story. He was still vital in saving everyone each time, it just wasn't the same. ( ) I really enjoy the Artemis Fowl books. Artemis paired with Holly Short have to save the world yet again, albeit this time the world they are saving is that of demon-kind, one of the branches of fairy that broke from the mainstream when the fairies went underground. Hybras, the demon world, was magically moved to Limbo. Now it's tether is breaking by decaying magic. When no.1 imp goes back in time, or forward in time he encounters Holly and company who are there to help. Artemis tries to reason with the devil n1, well crafted story, however it skips around critical character development. Colfer deliberately avoid the reader from getting to know more about the characters, to get to the point, perhaps because the author thinks if the reader really cared, they would read past the last book of the artemis fowl series. no reviews | add a review
