Wikipedia in English

Book description
Earth's natural resources are an amazing 'store' of goods, providing all that humans need to live. These are often overexploited, taken at will and replaced with artificial production methods. Woodn't You Know shows how natural resources, when taken with care, are ample to provide for our needs. The programme visits six projects around the world: a programme to reforest land in Ecuador; making organic tea from forest waste in Denmark; oyster cultivation in the mangroves of Cananéia, Brazil; conserving the cork-growing industry in Portugal; a new anti-stress medicine based on traditional remedies in India; and a holistic approach to reforestation in the Cauto River Basin, Cuba.
