This is a good book. It is about someone trying to find a way to become immortal through their works, not in physical form. ( )

This is a really entertaining short story about an elderly man who strives to attain immortality by creating a symphony. He works his entire life to create music that will put his name in the minds of society for all time. As Francisc Goyer finds inspiration, he recalls an encounter with Oscar Wilde as a youth. Within this meeting Goyer describes his idea of artistic immortality. The story is well-written and though-provoking. A quick and highly-enjoyable read. ( )
