This is a great story to read to students to explain that everybody has different talents.

51 months - Good moral that not everyone's special talent is going to be something that wins awards but something less obvious. Still not my favorite read. O enjoyed it. ( )

When penguin can't think of a talent for the talent show he volunteers to help run the show instead. It was a huge success, except Penguin didnt win any medals like his friends. When his friend notice how sad a lonely Penguin feels they decide to throw him a party, celebrating how great his did planning the talent show. The party is a disaster and Penguin realizes his true talent when pulls the party together with a huge success.

I would use this book in the classroom to teach children that you don't have to be good at everything, but there is always something you are good at. ( )

This is a story about a talent show that all the animals participate in! All except one - Penguin. Penguin can't seem to find anything he's talented at, so he decides to plan the show so he remains involved. The talent show turns out to be amazing! The animals want to cheer Penguin up since he didn't get a medal, so they decide to throw him a party! Except the party they organize is lame and hardly anything goes right. That's when Penguin realizes his talent for party planning and gets right to work at setting his own party right!

I think this is a cute story! I think any aged child will like it and there are a few things adults will laugh about, too (for instance, the band at the talent show is called the Jolly Llamas). ( )

This is a cute book that follows Penguin and his friends as they prepare for a talent show. Penguin tries to figure out what talent he could showcase in the talent show and in the process tries many of the things his friends are good at. When he becomes distressed at his lack of talent, he decides to do behind the scenes work and organize the show by himself! The talent show is a great success and Penguin is able to realize his talent of organizing events.
