Early reviewers gift from library thing in exchange for a review! I was surprised by this book! Great fantasy, intense characters. Beautiful love story. This is a must read for all fantasy lovers! At some stage during reading I was sure that I heard a rumble of thunder in the distance! I would love more reads from Coral Moore! I loved the scene where the female character sparred with Anton...... ( )
I liked this book; it is one of those stories that remind us that strength of character and will can help us to survive any situation. A tough beginning for anyone, yet in the end Sindari has faced her challenges, grown even more, and has found the path she was supposed to be on. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. You are instantly pulled into the character of Sindari, her emotions to various life situations (both good and bad), and learning she has the power to channel elemental forces she did not know she possessed until she met Lord Devin. She learns how to use them in combination with Lord Devin's for survival and to free her Endari people from slavery and savagery. This book is full of adventure and romance and is so captivating, you do not want to put it down. An excellent read! I can't wait for a sequel to this book. I really enjoyed this book! I can honestly say that at first I wasn't sure if I would like it or if it would even be good. I was glad that I won it because it was even better than the description given for it. If you like books that deal with the supernatural then you will enjoy this book. Both Sindari and Lord Devin are very likable and complex characters. I would suggest this book for older teens who are very mature because of mature scenes, graphic violence, and sexual situations. Give this book a try! I picked it up and couldn't put it down!! The author had me hooked from the first page, and I devoured the book in one sitting refusing to do anything else! With remarkable talent, the author created amazing characters that I coulnd't help but love. Sindari, a beautiful woman who has spent most of her life as a slave with a tough mindset to protect others is soldto Lord Devin a man with a reputation of unspeakable cruelty. Sindari instead finds a man entirely different, a man who gives her compassion but yet has to pretend to not care for her around others. Together they battle the Dominion, those who have enslaved her people and performed all kinds of cruelty on them for twenty years. It's impossible not to love this book. It has everything!! Adventure, romance, and a bit of supernatural, what more could you ask for? Read it, you wont regret it!! I won this book through a Librarything's giveaway. LOVED this book. It's been a while since I have been absolutely certain that a book was worth 5 stars. With this book I wish there was 6 stars. I couldn't put this book down. It was a such a raw and amazing story. I think I picked the right night to read it (thunderstorms rumbling). Usually I'm not into the sexual scenes in books but these enhanced the story line. Not only does it show what needs to be done to survive but also the depth it takes to do so. With in each character is bad vs good. Not one character could be labeled either. I am so happy that I have found a new author to add to my favorites list. Early reviewers gift from library thing in exchange for a review! I was surprised by this book! It is said that a reader is captured or estranged by the quality of the writing on the first page and I can tell you I was hooked! At first I thought I had unwittingly stumbled into a BDSM novel thinly disguised as a science fantasy but it became more than that - BDSM fans may well enjoy this piece as there is a certain undercurrent bubbling along under the surface. Adventure, romance, mysticism, graphic cruelty and violence, intrigue and power - it has them all within this tale. It is not a tale for the faint of heart so be prepared for Ms Moore's graphic descriptions of the battles and the beatings. I, for one, would appreciate a chance to revisit the world of the Eldari and its champions. |
