Tags:Non fiction. Author's experience in hospitality. How to scam in room movies, mini bar. How employees scam the guests. Advice: Tip well. Lots & Lots about bellmen & how they work the guest. My take: Bellmen are dinosaurs--they became extinct when suitcaes developed wheels.

It's a page turner but the author is pretty obnoxious and I didn't really enjoy his "I'm an asshole but you should love me" attitude.

Learned a couple of tips that I will probably never actually use.

It's not a terrible book but I don't urge you to buy it or read it. Borrow or skip. ( )

To get the full effect, listen to this book on tape. It exposes the mass of humanity who serve and are served. I'm a much better guest after this book. I appreciate the view from a distance.

Don't listen to it in the company children or impressionable adults. ( )

"Heads in Beds by Jacob Tomsky was a very humorous book. It has cursing in it but the cursing is not meant in an inappropriate meaning. It just adds to the flavor and spice of the book. What I liked about the book is how honest the author is about his trials and tribulations. What I did not like about the book is how people lie and steal and have relationships with each other that are....shall I say risque and odd. It seems the book focused more on the sexual appetites and moods of the different characters than giving concrete information that could be useful when traveling around the United States or abroad. I would give this book two stars." ( )

I laughed all the way through this book and learned much. Tip the bellman, and don't book through Expedia if you want an upgrade. ( )
