First, I liked that the author included one poem about every state in America. Each poem beautifully highlights something unique about its state. I felt including one poem about each state was a truly one of a kind idea that enhanced the overall message of this work. In addition, I liked that this book had pages that included factual information about this state. Even though this was a poetic book I liked that the author was able to diversify it by adding important factual information. The overall message of this book is that even though each state is different all of the states are united under core American values. Although the states are great on their own, they are even better united. no reviews | add a review

This book is a good introduction to poetry as each student can find their state or states they know to read first. Great combination of both poetry and geographical facts.
