A fascinating set of short stories. Homes has an intriguing way of looking at the world and focuses on some very unique subjects. Perhaps my favorite work in this collection is her imagining the interior/private lives of Nancy and Ronald Reagan as he slowly loses his mental faculties and she continues on, stressed over his condition and maintaining his level of care. Written prior to the former president's death, and a very different take on what ultimately happened, but it still feels so very real. ( )

An interesting collection of short stories to say the least. My favorite had to be the fictionalization of Nancy Reagan coping with her husbands Alzheimer's disease. ( )
