Callie McKenzie lost her parents when she was young and was raised by a brother that made her feel unloved and inadequate. So she strives to prove that she could make something of her life. She is a Vet now but overworked and ill. Sheriff Tanner Jamieson has had always been attracted to Callie but he was waiting for her to grow up. Now that she is all grown up and he realizes she needs a keeper he does the he-man thing well and barges right into her life and warms her bottom when she doesn't take care of herself. This book has a good HEA between Callie and Tanner but a sad one between her and her brother.. Otherwise a good DD short.. ( )
