A compelling read that kept me interested from beginning to end. The characters were very believable and realistic. The plot is dark and carefully intertwines the modern world of music with the old world of ritual religion and all the while dragging the characters as well as the reader along a path towards an ultimate and shocking climactic ending. An excellent story, a great read, especially for a first book by this author. Highly recommended. ( )
