Snyder's follow-up TPB carries on well and with strength. This sets up future stories well in this arc, and so promises Synder has the capacity to carry on the Batman legacy some distance very well. ( )

The second volume of issues from the Batman title I had already read a few of these issues in the Night of Owls TPB (one of the downsides of reading these comics via TPBs instead of issues). But I did mostly like the new issues in the Court of Owls saga. As a story line, it's sort of growing on me. Lots of twists and turns and enough closure that it doesn't seem never ending while having enough uncertainty that it's not boring.

I didn't love the art, although I didn't hate it either.

What I really did like was the final issue in the TPB, 'Ghosts in the Machine', with Harper and Cullen and their story. I've always liked the 'ground level' Batman saves real people from other bad (but not evil or super villains) guys stories. And Harper was a cool character. ( )

Interesting story, lots of action, awesome art but 3 points made me lower it from 4 to 3 stars.

- Alfred is sooo whiny, I was was rooting for him to die after page 3. "But, Master Bruce...!"
- The fight has some silly moment, like the dinosaur sequence.
- The owl/bat relationship that Snyder is trying to push here in his narration(owls are natural predators of bats) is really flaky. Like batman would be at a disadvantage because his enemies dress as owls and he dress as a bat... They are still all humans in the end. ( )

Nice ending to the Court of Owls storyline. Art is still strong in this collection but I didn't really enjoy the Mr. Freeze portion of the book (Batman's Annual). Just didn't seem to fit in well with everything else that was going on. It did have a good reveal about Freeze but really could have happened at another time. ( )

Está tudo bom. Do argumento ao inking. Aliás, é justamente no n.º com nomeação isolada que encontro o elo mais fraco da coisa. ( )

Disambiguation notice
In the rebooted "New 52", the location of Gotham City in reference to its location within the United States has not been stated. Beyond that, some sources say its in New York, some: Chicago, once: Connecticut. Until it becomes cannon of which state it permanently can be found in, please just select "Gotham City, USA" and not the option of New Jersey. This is not done with any agenda other than to be as accurate as possible. Thank you.
