Presented techniques with approx 4-6 small photos demonstrating steps. Tables in last chapter list plants by latin genus with recommended techniques, however focus is on ornamental and cultivars. This book is not specifically useful for someone interested in native plants. In addition, it recommends a named cutting mix. While there is a recipe for making your own, the potting mixes include a "john Innes Fertilizer Base" found in Britain--one of the hazards of how-to books from another country. Considering that, I'm not too sure that winter care instructions will prove adequate for my north central US location. ( )
