* La biografia al cinema è sempre un genere impervio: o si cade nell'agiografia o si resta nell' illustrazione.
Schnabel affronta il rischio di raccontare la vita di un grande graffista metropolitano e ottiene un film in cui tutti gli stereotipi del genere artista-pazzo-società-che-non-lo-comprende sono rispettati. Gli unici accenti interessanti sono dati dalla dolcezza dell' interpretazione della Forlani e dall'abilità con cui interpreta Andy Warhol, conferendogli un' interessante dimensione costante di presenza/assenza dai luoghi in cui si trova.
