This is the 1st book in the Demon the Fallen Trilogy, based on White Wolf's World of Darkness role-playing game Demon the Fallen.

This trilogy was written for the game created by White Wolf for the World of Darkness, and I think this was one of the best series for any of their games.

Here we meet a couple demons that have escaped hell and possessed the bodies of humans, in at least one case the posessee was a pathetic criminal getting a bullet through the brain. These demons have incredible powers and abilities. Knowing their true name gives one dominion over them so they guard it jealously. This series follows the start of the apocalypse which coincidentally begins in L.A. ( )
