Informational Book
Fantastic resource for kids. This book provides profiles of fifty famous Americans in history. The book is filled wit beautiful photographs and old illustrations. Bulleted lists make it easy to gather information. This would be a great introduction to a biography project. It would be beneficial to discuss each person and the positive impact they had on the world. Students need to know that just because a person is famous does not mean they are a hero.

A truly inspiring book of American Heroes. The photography really made this book excellent. The book would be an excellent source for a child doing a report on an American Hero. ( )

I like that there were bullet lists, photographs and artwork concerning the person, but whenever I found a interesting or less well known hero I always seemed to find that that was a one page biography, like George Washington Carver and the first female doctor, etc. GREAT RESOURCE FOR KIDS TO FIND SOEMONE TO DO A REPORT ON.
