Constant rereads in my life, The Dark Elf Trilogy are some of my favorite fantasy novels ever. Drizzt Do'Urden is one of the greatest modern fantasy characters ever created, and he deserves his own movie. Dark and brilliant, he's superbly three-dimensional in these novels, and oh-so-tortured. Five stars, easily. R.A. Salvatore is a fantastic author. He has an amazing imagination and he is a great storyteller. The main character in the book is a dark elf named Drizzt Do’ Urden. He detests the crime-filled society that he lives in and decides that he doesn’t want to be a part of it. He runs away from his horrible past and tries to find better things in the world. I read two hundred pages at a time sometimes because I would get so into it, I didn’t want to stop. R.A. Salvatore is my favorite fantasy author. I stopped reading about 50 pages into the third book. It was fairly downhill from the very interesting beginning. The second book is mainly about wandering about. In the dark. In a gigantic underground cavern. It was hard for me to be drawn into it at all, mainly more interested in skipping worthless crap. Oh well. Buy the first book, skip the second two. no reviews | add a review
