Although this book covers the period of the Battle of France as well as the Battle of Britain, it is not a rewrite of either of those conflicts. Neither is it a blow-by-blow account of those conflicts. It is a risumi of a number of fighter pilots who happened to take part in these events. All of these men originated from the North East of England. While some are 'known', the majority are unknown. However, they played their part in the events, they did their job. Sadly, history has passed them by and most are now forgotten. If anything, they are the 'forgotten few'. This is the first time that their stories have come together in one book.… (more)
