Loved it - read it to my daughter today. I had thought she retired the series so I was very happy to join in the adventures of Junie B. Jones with my daughter one more time. ( )

Junie B Jones and Mr Scary's first grade class celebrate Thanksgiving by discussing what they are thankful for. Their list is to be entered into the school's contest and the classroom that has the best thankful list receives a pumpkin pie. As with all things Junie B, hilarity soon ensues as the children discover the amazing things they are thankful for as well as their mutual dislike of pumpkin pie.

I have been reading Junie B books with my two sons since my 5th grader was in Kindergarten. We have always laughed aloud at Junie B and her antics. However, with this book, the three of us were rolling on the floor with laughter over the items on the thankful list, and even had my sister-in-law in the next room laughing with us!

This book was by far the funniest of the Junie B series we have read and perhaps one of the funniest books that we have read together. Honestly for the laughter alone, this book should deserve more than five stars! ( )

Junie B. Jones and her first grade classmates are making a thankful list for Thanksgiving. What are these first graders thankful for? Cranberry jelly in a can, exploding biscuits, rainbow sprinkles, toilet paper, money, cookies - but not the coconut kind, and The Cartoon Network. This is a delightful book for young readers - sure to make readers ponder what they are thankful for. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0375870636, Hardcover)

It's Thanksgiving time and Room One is getting ready for their very own Thanksgiving feast! There's even a contest to see which room can write the best thankful list. The winners will get a pumpkin pie! Only it turns out being thankful is harder than it looks. Because Junie B. is not actually thankful for Tattletale May. Or squash. Or scratchy pilgrim costumes. And pumpkin pie makes her vomit, anyway. (But Junie B. is thankful for yummy cranberry sauce that's shaped like a can. And biscuits that explode from their can. And nipsy doodles!) Will Room 1 win the disgusting pie? Can May and Junie B. find common ground? Or will this Thanksgiving feast turn into a Turkey Day Disaster?
