This picture book reads like a how-to manual from an experienced house-cat to the new kittens in the family. It's a very funny, cat-centric view of home life. It can be summed up with this quote from the book, "We don't do tricks, we don't come when we're called, we eat and sleep when we want to...and yet, they love us for it! Why? It's a little something I call...CATITUDE." Cat lovers will especially love this book! This is a YHBA 2014-2015 picture book nominee. It's certainly not the strongest entry on the list, but it's enjoyable. ( )

Book description
Buddy, the cat, shows the newly weaned kittens the ins and outs of living with humans. This cleaver book really informs humans on how to live with cats. Humor and great illustrations support the text. There are charts that compare humans to cats, a "cat walk through history," and information on cat cousins (large cats) to make this an informative book as well.
