Interesting (Link Here) of a college student/blogger engaging the issues in Berry's Hidden Wound 40 years after the essay. Berry's book taught me that while the African American experience was one of visible scars from violence, the white experience was an insidious disease causing the loss of skills, self reliance, and independence. The young writer at his blog, (Link) Ensie, seems as moved today, as I was a generation ago by Berry's insights and questions. This book, and Berry continue to deserve a five star rating for a thought provoking agrarian voice of reason and wisdom. ( )
