Jää (edition 2012)

After the war, a young pastor arrives in a remote island community with his wife and small child. They are warm and friendly and capable people, and soon gain the trust of the community and plan to stay for good, once the pastor has completed all his theology exams to be eligible for the permanent post. In the summer, travelling by boat is the easiest way to reach all the corners of the parish; in the winter, frozen sea opens way for walking and skating. Three happy years pass but then something happens to change everything. ( )
