This book is about a family of creatures (Moogees) who are looking for a new house. They hire a realtor, and look at some house. With the 2 parents and the 3 children, it is difficult to find a house that's just right for the whole family. They turn down many houses because of things like color, price, and shape. They finally find a house at the end, and they say that it really doesn't matter where they live as long as they have their family.
This book teaches about family values, but just a snippet at the end refers to that. This book's plot seems like it's confused sometimes. Also, to remember that the ones buying the house are creatures, after every house they look at and deny, the 3 children say "Waa waa moogee doogee wee wee low lum!". It is not very clear why this is added. It seems like an unnecessary plot point. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0763655589, Hardcover)

Leslie McGuirk spins the story of a very particular family in search of a home, with lively verse and quirky illustrations.

The Moogees want very much to find a new home. Mama Moogee says, "We need a new place that is on the ground. It would be nice if it were round." Papa Moogee adds, "I’d love to find a home with class, a nice wide yard, and plenty of grass." But the three little Moogies just scream, "WAA WAA MOOGEE DOOGEE WEE WEE LOW LUM!" Mr. Ruru, the real estate agent, tries hard to help them find the perfect place, but the Moogees think all the houses are too blue, too expensive, or look like a piece of cheese. Will they ever find a house to call their own? As the Moogees discover, the family you share it with is the most important part!

A Moogie family decides it is time to move to a new house, but nothing the real estate agent shows them seems to be quite right.
