S ... I'm also interested but non-committed. I should have listed as an unfinished (but nearly so) book, J.P. Malloy's In Search of the Indo-Europeans. I bought it for the language, but most of it is archaeology - certainly not as tedious as the quotation above, but nearly so.

I already have Mallory's "In Search of the Indo Europeans", Anthony's The Horse, the Wheel, and Language, and Renfrew's Archaeology and Language...was thinking of combining one of these with Puhvel's Comparative Mythology and then ___________ (ideally a book more focusing on PIE religion ... ... Anatolia in general?
