Epigraph
Dedication
This book is dedicated first to Pete Shepley, a bowhunter with an engineering background who decided many years ago that he could build a better bow. Continually trying to reach that goal year after year is the force that has driven Precision Shooting Equipment to make revolutionary strides in all forms of archery. PSE consistently looks at and studies the word “better” to see what improvements the company can make each year on the best bows they’ve ever made. Many of these innovative changes have come from their Pro Staff, both in the world of bowhunting and competitive archery. As a bowhunter, Pete’s primary concern always has been how to make better, faster, more-forgiving, smoother and more-enjoyable bows for each individual who goes into the woods to take a deer. Year after year, PSE continues to produce the best archery equipment in the nation. Blake Shelby, the Marketing Director for PSE, had the vision to see the changes coming in the ways hunters get information. When e-readers and electronic books jumped on the sportsman’s reading scene like a Boone & Crockett buck would spring out of a thicket, full-grown and ready for action, he commissioned this book. Shelby believes in the wisdom of the PSE Pro Staff to bring new and better information to the bowhunters each year to make their bowhunting experiences more successful and more satisfying. This book couldn’t have been produced without Blake Shelby.

Book description
The fastest way to learn how to bowhunt is to study the tactics and the equipment of the men who take trophy deer with their bows every deer season, like Mark Drury, Terry Drury, Hank Parker Sr., Ronnie "Cuz" Strickland, Rocky Drake, Spook Spann, Glenn Eilers, Michael Ahlfeldt, Michael Braden and world-class target archer Christopher Perkins. In "Bowhunting Deer: The Secrets of the PSE Pros," these men will tell you which strategies they use to find trophy deer, how they set-up to take them and how they choose a hunting bow and other hunting gear they feel will give them the best opportunities to take those bucks of their lifetimes. You'll also see how a serious deer hunter prepares to take a deer and the different strategies he utilizes to look for a big whitetail and grow a bigger whitetail on the property he hunts. PSE archery not only has highly-technical, extremely-dependable and year-after-year consistent bows, the hunters in this book also regularly take big mature whitetails. To learn how to bowhunt like a pro, how to shoot like a pro and how to take deer like a pro, this book and these hunting tips are what you need. This book also contains numerous color hunting pictures and links to more than 15 video interviews with the pros.
Now contains a bonus chapter with recipes for two full meals using venison!
