Couldn't finish this one, winner of the Premio Strega! I liked a collection of stories of the same author very much but this novel was hopeless. Changing characters and point of view and time period every chapter resulted in that I could not relate to any of them. In addition all characters have the same attitude to life: they have no real interests, no passions, feel lost, show no inititiative, or in other words depressed. People move from one place to another, one relation to another without anything fundamentally changing. This is probably supposed to be the 'modern' attitude to life, but I do not like it.
Authors very often do not win awards with their best work. ( )

Sterven
Is een kunst, net als al het andere.
Ik ben er uitzonderlijk goed in.

Ik doe het zodat het echt voelt.
Volgens mij kun je wel zeggen dat ik er aanleg voor heb.
