Tanemura immediately jumps into the story from page one, with little background information given. The pacing also seems quite frantic - everything is full speed and go! go! go!
Maron Kusakabe is her school's rhythmic gymnastics champion, and to her classmates seems perfect - smart, pretty, popular, and fun! But at night she's Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, the reincarnation of Joan of Arc who is seeking to regain power from God by sealing demons the Devil has let loose upon the world. Unfortunately, her method of doing so has made her into a major thief - she 'steals' paintings that the demons reside in.
Maron wants to be strong more than anything - and she makes sure to project that image whenever other people are around - but she feels she is weak.
