A cleverly made book on the song home on the range. Telling where buffalo, along with other animals and wildlife, roam using beautifully painted water color scenes.

Summary:
This book is about animals, plants, and landscapes of the southwest United States. It also has the original song being included in John Lomax's Cowboy Songs in 1910

Personal reaction:
I think the pictures are really good at showing things in the southwest.

Classroom extension ideas:
1. The class could draw something from the book they realy liked. for instance a plant or animal.
2. The class could sing the song that is in the book. ( )
