Started out really well, but it didn't seem like the middle and end of the story really came together. ( )

My Thoughts:

How much did I like this book? I didn't... I absolutely LOVED IT!!! I stayed up til 5am reading this book. I certainly related to Holly in a lot of ways. Plus Size and all. The characters, Holly and Logan, are easy to love and Evanovich makes you care about what happens to them. Some people may have a hard time reading this book, Holly deals with the recent loss of her husband and other family issues from her past. All sorts of emotions come out in this book. Love, Laughter, Sadness, Jealousy, Rage. ( )

Liked:
*several laugh out louds throughout the book
*Holly: we would be buddies if we ever met! I love her wit and humor but wanted to see her grow as a character.
*strong friendships for both Logan and Holly

Disliked:
*Underwhelming character arcs: things were a bit too predictable here.
*fat phobia: a wee bit and it was uncomfortable
*Just like Ron and Hermione, Holly could have done SO MUCH better for herself. ( )

I don't think I've read a book like this since high school. Totally beach read with slightly better writing than most beach reads. 50% sex scenes. ;) Lots of fat shaming. :( And spanking?! Hard pass on this one, friends. ( )

Thought this was a Janet Evanovich book. It was sweet. Like a John Hughes film. Not realistic from my personal experiences, but still nice to read. Only part I didn't like was her hitting the guy and him just taking it. ( )
