Work detailsDogs Don't Wear Sneakers by Laura Numeroff
None. This book is about animals doing things that they don't normaly do like dogs wearing sneakers, sheep taking showers and goats shaving. This is about using your imagination and dreaming. ( )Dogs Don't Wear Sneakers, allows kids to use their imagination. Kids get to think about what may be normal for us is silly when we think of animals doing it like bunnies sunbathing at the beach. The illustrations are humorous and colorful. The narration of this book is in the form of poetry. It mentions many things that animals do not do, along with pictures of them doing it (such as rabbits at the beach). Good for individual or small group readings. Very silly book. Through the use of catchy verses and nonsense rhymes, readers become absorbed and engaged. Also, they learn that animals are completely different from people. In other words, pigs don’t wear hats and dresses would look silly on Siamese cats. Great book to use when talking about animals and reality. Book gives examples of things that animals don't really do, but then encourages readers to think of silly things they could do. no reviews | add a review
