A young girl finds some things left behind at a park, she turns them in at the lost and found, but wants to keep the toy puppy. That night she feels bad, and talks to her mother. She realizes that she should bring the puppy to the lost and found, because someone is probably really missing their toy. the next day she returns the toy, and comes across a young girl who seems to be looking for something. Jamaica helps the girl and tells her the puppy is in the lost and found, the girl is so grateful for Jamaica's help, and they become friends. a good story about thinking about others feelings.

I really liked this book because of the illustrations and the plot. The illustrations in the book really show the characters emotions. For example, when Jamaica felt guilty for not giving the stuffed dog to the lost and found, the illustration shows her turmoil and frustration with herself. The plot was great because Jamaica went through a problem and found a solution for herself. For example, she knew she should have taken the dog to the lost and found so she did, and then it got even better when she realized she had found the dogs owner. This gave the story a happy ending and solid closure. Overall, this story was an awesome children's book and it taught the lesson of honesty is the best policy. ( )

I enjoyed reading this book. It's about a Jamaican girl who finds a stuffed animal on a playground, and she ends up taking it to lost and found even though she wants to keep it. She ends up finding the girl who is looking for her stuffed animal and leads her to it. It is a great story and shows that it is rewarding to do the right thing.
