This is an okay example of realistic fiction. The characters are realistic for the most part, but I don't think a lot of kids would be able to identify with Cam. However, they may know a friend who has a really useful and amazing talent or they might. Or they might be able to identify with one of Cam's friends. The situation is realistic in that kids at that age lose teeth and go to art class and have silent reading, etc. Media: ink, marker, pastels? ( )
