Collecting lessons from the former Mangajin magazine, This book uses examples from Manga (Japanese comics) to illustrate basic concepts and vocabulary to Japanese language learners. Readers will find the book more helpful if they are able to read both Hiragana and Katakana as well as some kanji, in order to follow the manga examples. Full translations, as well as a discussion of the 'Politeness levels' are given for each example. This is not a stand-alone text by any means, but it is a good supplement for students who have some basic exposure to the language. ( )no reviews | add a review
