A funny book! My four year old enjoyed it a lot, he laughed out loud at all the funny dog names: "Bitzer Maloney all skinny and boney" and "Bottomley Potts covered in spots". The drawings are great too, a good dog book! ( )

Lynley Dodd has created an amazing series of books around Hairy Maclary and all of his furry and feathered friends. My daughter asks me to read them over and over again! ( )

Your child will love listening to you read this book aloud because of the rhyming, rhythm and all the repetition. Your child will love getting to know "Bitzer Maloney all skinny and bony" and "Hercules Morse as big as a horse." ( )

Hairy Maclary has become one of those nonsense names in our house whenever someone is getting shaggy. Great story, with repetition and silliness ( )
