I never took biochemistry, although I am trained as a chemist. I have found this review to be a worthy reference. I appreciate the plentiful diagrams in the text as being especially useful for someone who doesn't have the inclination to fully learn the subject but who wants a quick and dirty understanding. I also valued the numerous cross-references to the companion volume in Pharmacology, which I also own.
