I had given this book to my 12 year old granddaughter. Then she said she thought I would like it. SO how could I not accept this invitation???
It was a pleasant read, and I wasn't bored. We had some conversation about it after I had read it. Joy.

Blue is part of a big family, but is missing Iris, her sister who passed away. The whole family is struggling with the grief of losing a part of them and it is taking a toll on the parents too. I liked that the family both loved and hated each other at different points in the story but it's strength probably is that this is completely appropriate for the youngest of readers. ( )
