There’s a kiss on the cheek, a butterfly kiss, an Eskimo kiss, and now a dinosaur kiss. I think a dinosaur kiss might hurt a little. Find out for yourself in this fun book for a read aloud or a bedtime story. Just wear a helmet. ( )

This has its nice moments, but I just can't get behind any story that relies so much on the joke "I'm gonna kiss you! Oops! I ate you up!" Cutesy and red in tooth and claw will always be an uncomfortable combination for me (people have such feelings about e.g. Watership Down but this is way more twisted) and that is that. ( )

Newly hatched Dinah is intent on smooching everything in sight. ( )
  Sullywriter | May 22, 2015 |
Dinah has just hatched out of her egg and there is so much for her to see and do. First she stomps then she chomps and then she wants to kiss. Dinah does not know how to kiss and every time she tries she either stomps, chomps, or whomps the other dinosaur.

This book was adorable, especially for little ones who are able to understand humor. Dinah hatches and chomps and stomps things, until she learns what a kiss is! She decides she wants to kiss everything, but is not very successful. It reminds me very much of my younger brother when he was a baby, he liked to BITE everyone! The artwork is cute and bright, it would even be easy for a young child to emulate the artwork. Could be easily used in a classroom to talk about good behavior.
