Like a lot of little kids, he's fascinated by trucks and vehicles and building sites, so this book is perfect for him. It takes you through a typical day at a work site with simple sentences and colorful illustrations. A great book! ( )Through out the day there are many machines that knock down a building. Many boys would like this book. Machines At Work is one of my son's absolute favorite books. He and my husband read it over and over again complete with construction sound effects. As young as one year, he could mimic the sounds... too cute! In this fine addition to Barton's series of books about various vehicles, various construction vehicles are shown (though not specifically named). Two of the six construction workers are women, which is nice to see. no reviews | add a review
