It's the ultimate in textile artistry: creating cloth from fiber to yarn to the finished product. When you spin yarn for weaving, you have complete control over the color, texture, and performance of your fabric. In this video, Sara Lam teaches how to create just the right yarn to suit your weaving designs. Disc 1, 58 minutes. Disc 2, 60 minutes.

I feel a lot more confident about my big spinning/weaving project now than before I read this book. Sara Lamb makes it all sound very doable.

Of course there is the problem that I love the two jacket patterns in the back of the book so that I may have to spin more yarn so that I can make a jacket, too, to match the skirt. ( )
