The cats are back! Readers of John Caris' other novels will remember that Lucy and Karma serve as a "Greek Chorus" to the action in his books. They watch (and react) as Ralph and Shasta Garland and their friends eat, drink and talk in their San Francisco home.
The 67 brief chapters of "Dancing Magicians" detail a series of adventures.
My nine pages of notes lists many characters, some charming, some sinister.
Quite wonderfully, despite perils, the final chapters bring us to a splendid performance.
Drums, singing, magic tricks....the audience fills the hall with loud applause. ( )
