Dr. Claudia Ellers was kidnapped by Bradley Smith to give medical attention to his injured friend Sean Reynolds. Being the good doctor she is, Claudia went to work immediately taking care of Sean, hoping she might be able to get out of her situation with her life. What Claudia didn't expect was to be so drawn in by the power of sex appeal that is Sean. And what ensued during Claudia's abduction was a torrid, dramatic, mysterious, and erotic story.

While this story had some dark undertones it was certainly not dark. It couldn't be, since Sean had me grinning the entire time. He is such a flirt even under the circumstances. I mean this situation should have had me outraged but Sean was so irresistible charming and arrogant that Claudia had no hope of resisting him. This was a difficult situation for Claudia understandably, she was being held against her will but her unwitting attraction to Sean caused her a lot of guilt. She would give in to her feelings for him only to snap out of it later and beat herself up for it. I really enjoyed Claudia and Sean's interactions with each other, it was so funny and lust filled, I just couldn't keep that grin off my face.

There was passion, anger, fear and forbidden desire in Monster. You will not be disappointed. I enjoyed this book a lot and can't wait to read the next, especially with such a fingernail biting end. ( )

Let’s stop for a minute and ponder: “is it life really not worth living or is it books like this one that just take my will to live away?” (And for the record, no, I’m not being a drama queen, I’m just going along with the style of this god-awful nonsense. The fact alone that this lame story was called “monster” is a clear example of that. I mean come OOOON, aren’t you just being a bit melodramatic?)

This has got to be the most ridiculous, boring, irritating shit I’ve ever read. The “heroine” thoughts were formulated in such an irksome way I wanted to slap the bitch in the face every time she opened her mouth (which was always). Being in her head was the most horrible, traumatic experience of my reading life.

A random example of what I mean:

“His hand shifted to the front of my throat, applying pressure so that I was forced down onto the pillows. The act awoke something primal within me, the recognition of his utter dominance making me go limp beneath him as I demonstrated my submission to the alpha male."

There were tons of lines like that that just made me laugh for all the wrong reasons. Another example: I never particularly liked the expression "his eyes darkened", but I didn’t feel like I could cut a bitch whenever I read it either, well now I do. THANKS, Claudia.

The writing consisted of entire lines repeated in the same way over and over and over again and the way the plot was laid out was really amateurish and at times nonsensical.

And did I mentioned that all this was so BORING I almost passed out?

The story:

-bitch is kidnapped
-bitch saves guy’s life (in a very questionable way but let’s not even go there)
-they barely talk, she doesn’t have a clue of anything but doesn’t ask
-they barely do anything, sometimes she stares at him or sit around all day whining in her head about how miserable her life is
-out of nowhere guy is revealed to be some sort of christian grey
-they have unprotected sex because why not
-some kind of revelation
-the end
-well not exactly the end because in fact there’s two more of this. Good luck with that. As for me,

I received an ARC of This From Julia for an Honest Review :

This Book starts right from the first page and pulls you right in from the first chapter, I literally read it in a matter of a few hrs today . It was a GREAT read .

This is the first book in Julia's New Impossible series. Julia Brings to us a story about a Woman ( Pediatrician Claudia Eller's) , Who right from the start of chapter one is Taken against her will . She is kidnapped to Save a Man's life . Once she does that , She finds out she is not allowed to leave . The Heated relationship that starts to build between Claudia and Sean ( the man whom's life she saved) is a crazy ride , Claudia is trying to figure out how she can have feelings for Sean , when he in fact tells her she can never leave. Things definitely get heated between these two characters and It left wanting more of them together ..

This Book has suspense, Compassion, and touches on a little bit of BDSM .

The story flows real good and definitely kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next . Although We do not get the full story in this Book it leaves you wanting to know what is going to happen in the next book . I myself can't wait to see where the story of Sean and Claudia goes from here .

Book Blurb:

My life was irrevocably changed that night. The night I was taken. I saved a man’s life, but at what cost to myself? Could I convince him to save me in return?

Pediatrician Claudia Ellers is jerked out of her own safe, secluded world and brought into one of danger and uncertainty on the night that she is kidnapped by Bradley Smith. He forces her to save the life of his best friend, Sean Reynolds, under threat of death. But when her task is complete, Sean decrees that she can’t be allowed to leave; she knows too much. Claudia is resentful of her captors, desperate to escape. But the more time she spends trapped with Sean, the harder she finds it to cling to her hatred for him. He is an enigma of a man, one who is shockingly arrogant, sweetly contrite, and frighteningly aggressive by turns. And the sexual tension between them is scorching. The longer she remains in his grip, the more confused she becomes about what she must do. Is her freedom worth betraying him?

Find out in Monster (Impossible #1), to be released 29 March 2013!

Warning: This book contains graphic language and scorching sex scenes involving BDSM.

This cover is Hot I love it!
This is not a Paranormal don't let the title fool you.
Really I could not help but fall head over heels for Sean Reynolds. He might be a "Bad Guy" but really there seems to be so much more to him. Claudia feels the attraction to Sean and it runs deeper than just sex. She fights her feelings for him because she knows she's being held against her will but really what does she have to go home to? I just wanted Claudia to give in but she fights it even know she's miserable without Sean. Some Hot Steamy scenes. Not a HEA ending~ Luckily book 2 "Traitor" is due out April 12, 2013!!
