4 excellent models for young military history buffs. The book has die cut, easy to assemble paper models -2 tanks (Sherman, Panther) and 2 planes (Mustang, Messerschmidt Bf 109). There are two pages of detailed information about the vehicles, and there are step-by-step instructions with a photo for each step. The models are straightforward to build - a bit fiddly for under 8s and for parents with big fingers! - and are durable enogh for gentle play. The tank turrets turn and the planes come with little stands for display. This is a great book for children ready and eager to build models, as well as those curious about World War II and these remarkable machines. ( )

Book description
"The Second World War was unlike any war before it. It marked the beginning of the age of machine-against-machine warfare. For the first time, fighter planes and armored tanks dominated the battlefields.

This book brings you on a historic tour of World War II. Besides vintage photos and stunning facts, you get paper models of four famous World War II fighting machines. You can build your very own historic replicas of two bombers and two tanks." [n.b., from back cover. Model planes are not bombers, they are fighters.]
