Another well-written story by Danielle Stewart! I enjoyed this book and believe I will keep it on my Kindle to re-read another day. I'm hoping to find more of her books when given the opportunity. ( )

After witnessing a prominent judge physically abusing a child prostitute the mysterious Piper decides he must pay.
Figuring that her best plan of attack she begins surreptitiously following him and keeping notes. Part of her stakeout involves sitting in the diner that he frequents. She always chooses the same booth because it is out of the way and provides her with a great view. After 2 weeks of monitoring the situation she is suddenly confronted by a man claiming she is occupying his booth. After some verbal jabs she flees the diner, he chose to follow her to apologize and she discovers he is a cop returning to the job after a suspension. One thing leads to another and soon the sparks of romance fly with a little help from the waitress in the diner.
Problems arise when he wants to know more about her and her past that she is unwilling to share.
Investigating on her own Piper comes across some very interesting and incriminating evidence that could prove dangerous both for her and her cop.

What can be better than a mystery and a love story combined? Maybe a bag of chips or box of chocolates to eat while you're reading. A great story told well. ( )
