Although this book is tamer then my normal reads,I really enjoyed this story, It was pleasant, honest, loving, supportive, filled with redemption and forgiveness. The main characters and the supporting characters were very real, believable and showed growth as the storyline progressed. Claire was a strong, stand on her “own two feet “kinda girl, was not looking for any handouts or sympathy. Henry was a hard working , no play, somewhat controlling guy, with a really soft spot in his heart, who had no idea what life could offer him.
Although the story did have the wealthier male and the financially challenged female, the role of money did not play a part in the storyline. The plot is not a carbon copy of the current trendy romance stories being churned out these days, the sex was realistic, down to earth, tasteful and was not in your face, or dominating the storyline, nor is there any hint of a BDSM theme. The plot did have the expected/traditional HEA, so no surprises there, and overall the story was good enough for me to want to read the next book, as Sebastian was a very likeable character.

Beyond the actual story...as a young self published author, Andria Large has some presentation issues with this book, that need to be resolved...spelling errors, incorrect tenses, sometimes the incorrect word or swapped pronoun (he/her), repetitive lines and formatting issues. I would strongly suggest that since she does not have the support of a publishing house behind her, that she look to her reader community as many other Indy authors have, for beta reads, honest reviews prior to publication, line by line corrections, suggestions on putting the finishing touches on her work, readers who would be very supportive of her efforts, and want to see her move ahead in her writing career – critical readers who are NOT related to her in any way, or close friends. In my opinion, I think with a better presentation, this could have easily been a much higher rated book.

Cute story, but difficult to overlook the countless errors. I submitted quite a few, but the task got the better of me.

I did like the characters. How could anyone not like Ethan? Sebastian and Henry were sizzling hot! The plot was so-so. There were some parts I think needed more detail, but that’s often the case with readers.

As a retired English teacher, I know how difficult it can be to edit your own writing. At some point, you must do so. If you’re having problems with proofreading, you should pay someone to do the job for you. It’s unfair to the reader to have to figure out what you meant to say. In the end you may lose readers because of poor grammar. I know I will not pick up another book by Andria Large. I regret the decision because I’d like to read about the other Beck brothers, especially Sebastian. ( )
