Some Kind Of Wonderful by Dahlia Rose gives hope that good things happen when we least expect it. This interracial romance between a photographer and a Marine is a quick read, but a lot happens and it’s very entertaining. Bonnie is full of spunk while Conrad is more laid back but certainly not a pushover. Their first encounter results in sparks that soon turn into passion. Bonnie is getting over a messy relationship and about to become a mother. Conrad plans to marry one day but is not actively looking. When they meet things seem to fall perfectly into place. I love Conrad’s take charge but gentle attitude. He exudes sexy and safety in one hot package. A very pregnant Bonnie exudes a certain beauty that a real man can appreciate. The sexual tension builds while Bonnie, as well as readers, must wait. When Bonnie finally gets the go ahead, the passion between her and Conrad is explosive and quite the treat. Conrad put’s it best when he says, “I think at breakfast tomorrow morning you might get some high fives for that scream.” This is a great story, great couple and an overall enjoyable novel.

Photographer Bonnie Gabrielle is seduced and robbed of her work by a man who told her he loved her. With the help of her best friend she reveals his deception and saves her career. Unfortunately she doesn’t walk away unscathed because she is pregnant with his baby. Bonnie relocates to North Carolina for a new start. Enlisted Marine Conrad Lewis is doing his sister Megan a favor by checking on Bonnie. Imagine Conrad’s surprise to find a very pregnant Bonnie and even bigger shocker when he has to deliver her baby when a storm leaves them stranded. Despite only knowing Bonnie for a short time, Conrad is falling in love with her and her baby Michael. Bonnie admits she feels the same and they eventually marry. Their idyllic life is shaken when Bonnie’s ex decides he wants money in exchange for his parental rights, but Conrad and Bonnie will protect their new family at all costs.
